Dear Friends and Family,
We are excited to see what God will do as Elon heads to Perth, Australia at the beginning of July. We know it will be a life-changing time in her life as she steps out on her own to experience the adventure of ministry overseas. The following paragraph is from Elon:
I am so excited to be able to have the opportunity to do a DTS of my own in Perth, Australia. I look forward to spending more time on studying The Word and building a better relationship with God. Having gone to Kona and South Africa with my parents was such a special and unique time that really encouraged me to look into where I could go for my DTS. It would mean so much if you would partner with me financially and through prayer, please see my link below. Thank you!
The cost for Elon’s DTS will be about $5680, not including the airfare, which is $4000 - We are trusting God for His provision. If you would like to support E'Lon, go to: https://secure.ywamperth.org.au/payments/ (Instructions: select student, Discipleship Training School July 2022 and enter “E’Lon Still in the details box) Please note: the page accepts Australian Dollars (AUD) so you will need to enter the higher amount of AUD. (example: 289.31 AUD=$200 US Dollars). Many thanks!!

Clarissa, who is still with my daughter Chrystal in Las Vegas, got her adult high school diploma this last month and is excited to see what the next step is! We are very proud of her progress and pray she will continue to walk in God’s ways.
In April, I was able to go see my son Ben get married to Angie, a wonderful girl from the church where he leads worship. It was a great time to reconnect with some of my family and grandkids!
Back here in Discovery Bay, April and I have been led into a few different ministries:
We were asked to lead Intercession each Tuesday on the base and have enjoyed sharing what God puts on our hearts in praying for others both here and abroad. A major prayer point for our base is:
Lance and Megan who recently left our base with their two small boys to spend 2 months in Poland encouraging, supporting and providing respite to ministry leaders from Ukraine.

In a new approach to sharing the gospel; we are developing what we have coined “Curiosity Evangelism.” Unlike a typical tract, it is a business card with an intriguing title and a QR code on it that will direct people to a corresponding video on our evangelistic website called TheInnDoor.com. We expected to gauge the first responses with 250 cards that just arrived, but the print came out darker than the online sample making the cards difficult to scan. Please pray for the success of this new tool as we overcome technical challenges and try to make it look professional.
Three weeks ago, our Pastor and his wife approached us to lead the midweek meal ministry. Their hearts are to not only feed the people who come, but to also form a fellowship team by reaching out to those who want to help. Steve, who is the cook at our base, is excited to join us in the venture!
A few days ago, we received permission to promote our upcoming multigenerational DTS (Discipleship Training School), which starts in September, to various venues in the region such as Home-School Groups, Christian Drug and Alcohol Recovery Centers, churches, and Staff at Summer Camps. Our first promotional outreach trip will be in a few weeks. We were excited to learn that our outreach locations may be Mongolia, Cambodia and Thailand! We still have open slots to fill, so if the Lord is leading you to join us, we have a place for you.
Besides serving the people who use the campus as a retreat/camp this summer, we as a team are planning a 3-Day Camp for young people, 10 – 17 years old (or younger kids with an accompanied parent) on August 7-9 from 9am – 3pm. It will be a unique program loosely based YWAM’s King’s Kids. The theme is “Treasure Hunt Adventure,” covering the topics of: God is the Treasure, God Treasures You and He Treasures Others So We Should Too. We see God’s hand bringing this together and are excited to be a part.
Of course, when you are in ministry, even housekeeping, landscaping, mowing and repairs become ministries. A substantial part of each week involves those, and we enjoy doing our part.
We continue to pray for opportunities to share the Good News of the Gospel to those God brings us in contact with, one person at a time, because Jesus cares about the one! It has also been a joy spending time and getting to know the staff here at the base.
Prayers Requests:
April has been fighting Plantar Fasciitis for the last year. She went to the doctor and now has a plan – please pray her pain will go away!
E’Lon to raise the funds she needs and for her DTS and Outreach
Lance, Megan and family in Poland
Treasure Hunt Adventure - planning, for young people to come and lives will be touched
God will use our “Curiosity Evangelism” tract to reach people for Christ.
God will open doors to share our DTS presentation and that people will respond.
We praise God and thank you for your prayers and support. You are a vital part of our ability to do what we are doing. Prayer requests are very welcome!
Mark, April and E'Lon
